September is Spring in Melbourne however we have had an unusually cold time and many gardens are still dormant, at least until things warm up.
September is a big month for our club, with our annual nutrient distribution and seedling sale. This year Ray did an excellent effort with over 110 tomato seedling which were grown under less than ideal growing conditions, well done.
David informed the club that the appearance of the nutrient had changed, now the part A has a pink/brown shade however if performs the same.
We also had a visit from a new member, Greig, who is setting up a rather large greenhouse and hydroponic system and came along to get some ideas on how to start. The host, John, had set up a system just like he was looking to set up so it was handy for him to see it in action.
